O-UE Stem-Changing Verbs Activities for Spanish Class

Are your students struggling to remember the verbs with an O to UE stem-change like ALMORZAR? Here are some of my favorite activities for those tricky irregular O-UE stem-changers in Spanish!

1. BOOM CARDS

8. CUCHARAS GAME

Reinforce present tense O-UE stem-changers in Spanish with this fun game of Cucharas, the Spanish class version of the childhood favorite, Spoons. Students love collecting all the conjugations of a verb in the present tense and racing to grab the spoons! This is a great way to get students engaged and focused on the details of present tense stem-changing verbs and their endings! There is an included extension activity that has students writing and speaking with the verbs after each round.

OBJECTIVE: Collect all seven cards for one verb (infinitive + all six forms- for example: CORRER, CORRO, CORRES, CORRE, CORREMOS, CORRÉIS y CORREN) and/or not be the person left without a spoon! Read more about how to play Cucharas HERE.
