BOOM CARDS
Boom Cards are interactive digital task cards that students LOVE. They are self-checking, self-grading, no prep, and can give you data as students complete the deck. Boom Cards work on smart boards, computers, tablets, and smartphones.
You as a teacher need a free Boom Learning account to use Boom Cards with your students, but your students do not need accounts or to log in if you use the Fast Pins option. Simply share a link with them and they click on the link, enter the code, and play the cards. You can hold students accountable and see their grades by having them take a screenshot of the last slide that says complete and their score and send it to you. Here’s a quick video about Fast Pins.
If you want more features like data, students will need to log in so you can track them. If they have Google accounts, they can use their Google logins to log into Boom. Otherwise, you will need to create usernames and passwords for your students. It can be as simple as their first name and the same password for everyone.

GAMES
Dr. Karyn Purvis says “Scientists have recently determined that it takes approximately 400 repetitions to create a new synapse in the brain- unless it is done with play, in which case, it takes between 10 and 20 repetitions!” and I whole-heartedly agree. Games provide a ton of input for students. Games help them remember content and they will be the first to tell you so! I love using games to promote collaborative learning, build relationships among students, and teach vocabulary and grammar. DIGITAL MYSTERY PICTURES
Looking for a fun and festive Spanish Christmas activity for your students to help your students with regular present tense verbs this holiday season? Check out this engaging, easy-to-grade digital mystery picture activity! Students will get a ton of practice conjugating regular present tense verbs. Best part? This activity is self-checking! If a student’s answer is correct, part of the Christmasy hidden picture will be revealed. If a student’s answer is incorrect, the picture will not change.
